Vincent Joseph Cartagirone

CHARLTON: Vincent Joseph Cartagirone, 87, of Charlton, passed away on November 16, 2022, at Harrington Hospital with his family by his side.

Vincent was predeceased by his wife Ruth (Gauthier) Cartagirone in 1987.

Vincent leaves his son John Cartagirone and his wife Gina of Charlton; his daughter Michelle Gendron of Maine; his brother John Cartagirone and his wife Kathy of Maryland; his sisters Tina Caiola and her late husband Pete of Frankfurt, NY, Cathy Carpenter and her late husband Hank of Herkimer, NY, and Mary Myers of Mohawk NY; Grandchildren Vincent Cartagirone, Angela Cartagirone, and Julia Cartagirone who is currently serving in the Marine Corps. and many nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his sister Joanna Gregery.

Vincent was born in Herkimer, NY son to the late Joseph Cartagirone, and Elvira (Piscione) Cartagirone.

Vincent served in the Air Force for 4 years as a basic airman. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal during his time in the service. After the service Vincent worked as a truck driver for Vanco Concrete for several years before he retired.

Vincent was known as a family man. His grandchildren called him Nanoon. He loved his grandchildren they were his life. He would take them to their sporting events and loved spending time with them.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, December 10, in St. Joseph Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton, MA
