Theresa Giza

January 29, 1926 — October 16, 2008

CHARLTON – Theresa D. (Rousseau) Giza, 82, of Knollwood Drive, died on Thursday, October 16, 2008, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.  Her husband of 47 years, John F. Giza, predeceased her in 1998.  She leaves five daughters, Karen Barch, and her husband Michael and son, Michael John, with whom Mrs. Giza lived with in Charlton, Jo-Ann Wight, and her husband Ted, of Riverside, RI, Geraldine Ducharme, and her husband Bob, of Charlton, Doreen Euloth, and her husband, Mike, of Saco, ME, and Sharon Davis, and her husband Steve, of Holland; and 11 other grandchildren: Jaime-Lyn, Seth, Raquel, Kristen, Jeremie, Sheena, George, Melissa, Rebecca, Michelle and Brandi; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was born on January 29, 1926, in Pittsfield, MA, the daughter of the late Eugene and Doris (Stearns) Rousseau.  Mrs. Giza lived in area her entire life.  She was a member of the East Southbridge Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She enjoyed bird watching, gardening flowers, and was an avid reader.  She loved the ocean in Maine and visiting the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

 

All services will be private, with a burial in Northside Cemetery, Charlton, MA.  A public memorial talk will be given at 2pm, Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 700 Worcester St., Southbridge, MA.  Memorial contributions may be made to Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, Attn: Treasurers Office, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge, MA.  An online guestbook Mrs. Giza will be available at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com
