CHARLTON: Theodore A. Wood Sr., 85, of Saundersdale Road, died, Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Harrington Hospital after battling Covid-19.
He leaves his wife of 36 years Prudence (Lavigueur) Wood, 2 sons; Theodore Wood Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Brimfield, Raymond Wood and his wife Ginger of Putnam, Ct; a daughter Wendy Myers and her husband Joe of Palm Harbor FL.; 2 step daughters; Michelle Duval of Southbridge, Janelle Gingras of Charlton, 9 grandchildren; Lyndsay Metzler, Brandon Wood, Anthony Wood, Alexander Wood, Raymond Wood, Brittany Wood , Brandi Wood Marissa Duval, David Duval, 3 great grandchildren; Harrison , Victoria and Christian; 2 brothers ; John Fitzback and his wife Michelle of Brimfield, Kenneth Groh and Jean of Webster,
Ted was born in New York City on November 23, 1935, the son of Theodore Borsky and Victoria (Groh) Strezlewich.
He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Ted worked and retired from the JI Morris Company after 15 years of service, prior to that he worked as a supervisor for The American Company for 36 years.
He and his wife enjoyed trips to the casinos including Atlantic City, Las Vegas and local casinos mostly Twin Rivers. For many years they played BINGO at Seven Hills in Worcester.
Ted enjoyed working in his wood shop.
A graveside services will be held at a time to be announced in Old Notre Dame Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
