HOLLAND: Stanley P. Libby Jr., 88 of Stafford Road, died Sunday, December 23, at Rose Monahan House after an illness.
His wife Maxine (Broad) Libby died in 2015.
He leaves behind 6 daughters: Linda Libby of Marlborough, Valerie Reil of Maine, Brenda Tremblay and her husband Robert of Southbridge, Stella Bonin and her husband John of Brookfield, Sheila Goodspeed of Fiskdale and Julie Libby of Fiskdale. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Michael Jacobson of PA, Rebecca Libby of Maine, Jeanne Braley of N.H., Keri Cody of Conn., Adam Goodspeed of Charlton, Justin Goodspeed of Sturbridge, Joseph Niquette of Paxton, Steven Niquette of Monson and Lilly Birch of New Zealand; 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Mt. Vernon, Maine the son of Stanley and Mildred (Trask) Libby and lived in Holland for many years.
He retired in 1992 as an Engine Diagnostic Technician, from Pratt & Whitney Co. after 32 and ½ years of service.
He enjoyed taking 35mm pictures.
He won an award from the Pratt &Whitney Co. for his invention.
He had a passion for the outdoors, and fed all the animals that would visit his backyard over the years. He was a member of the Holland Rod and Gun Club.
Stanley’s greatest joy was his family.
