Sarah Yates

CHARLTON: Sarah Yates, 96, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton, MA. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles E. Clark. Prior to residing in Charlton MA, the Yates family resided in Daytona Beach, FL for 25 years coming there from Norwalk, CT.    For 38 years, Mrs. Yates was associated with Stanley Home Products. While living in FL, she was active in First Baptist Church of Port Orange (serving in the sanctuary choir, as a Sunday school teacher, and as Director of the Women's Missionary Union), "Winning Women of Florida," and Pilots Club International. Mrs. Yates' husband, Francis L. Yates, predeceased her in 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy C. Yates of Pasadena, CA, and a son, Thomas Clark Yates, of Atlanta, GA.    Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth, MA, in the Yates family plot at a later date.
