SOUTHBRIDGE: Ruth (Clark) Boniface, 96, of Southbridge, passed away March 6, 2022.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Vincent B Boniface, in 2004.
She leaves her daughter Deborah Griffith, of Waterford, CT; granddaughter Sarah Rahl and her husband Matthew of Stonington, CT; and her great granddaughters, Sydney and Lindsey Rahl. Ruth is also survived by her nephew Gilbert Fitts, of Douglas.
Ruth was born in West Brookfield, daughter to late Fredrick H. Clark & Queenie V. (Boyer) Clark and was predeceased by two sisters Virginia B Fitts & Della E. Clark.
Ruth worked as an Administrative Assistant. She was an active member of Elm St. Congregational Church for over 65 years serving as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and actively involved in the church’s Women’s Fellowship. Ruth served as an Overseer at Old Sturbridge Village, was a Volunteer with Harrington Hospital Auxiliary for 25 years and was a literacy teacher for Literacy Volunteers of America. She was also a member of the Southbridge Garden Club and the Southbridge Historical Society. Ruth also volunteered as a leader in Girl Scouts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Sturbridge Village and the Massachusetts Audubon Society.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 12th at 10:30AM at Elm Street Congregational Church, 61 Elm St. Southbridge, MA, 01550.
