Robert Basara

SOUTHBRIDGE: Robert Basara, 51, of Alpine Drive, died Thursday, Mach 31, at Harrington Hospital after being stricken ill at home. 

He leaves his daughters Brooke Basara and Theresa Basara both of Southbridge, his sister Sharon Morrissett of Southbridge, his companion Linda Bassan, his former wife Robin Tucker-Auger, his aunt Bonnie, 2 nephews Aidan and Robaire.

Born in Southbridge the son of James LaPlante and Linda (Maramo) Basara. He lived in the area all his life.

Bob graduated from Bay Path Regional Technical High School.

He worked for Schotts Fiber Optics for many years retiring due to health reasons. He also cooked at Maramo’s Restaurant and Cinnamon Bakery.

He enjoyed woodworking and restoring automobiles.

His funeral services will be private.
