    CHARLTON:  Putnam P. Jones, 93, of Brookfield Rd, died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 23, after an illness.   His wife, Norma (Leno) Jones, died in 1997.  He leaves 5 sons; Robert and his wife Betty of Clayton, N.C., Scott of Trinidad, CO., Jim and his wife Debbie of Oakhill, FL., Kevin and his wife Debbie, of Edgewater, FL., and Richard of Oxford; a daughter Sally Mahan of Charlton, with whom he lived; a sister Nancy Boucher of Anaheim, California; 23 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son Putnam, Jr., daughter Sue McKinstry, brother Robert, and sisters Pearl, Alice, and Evelyn. Putnam was born in Millbury, son of the late Wendell and Vina (Trainor) Jones and lived in Charlton most of his life.  He also lived in Virginia and Florida briefly.  He retired from the Charlton Board of Health, and previously worked at R.H. White Construction Company for many years.  He was extremely talented in the art of wood working, and displayed many of the items he made in his home.  He loved traveling and pontoon boating.  Putnam was a true family man.  More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Rarely was he not in the company of someone he loved.  He touched the lives of so many people, and he will be forever missed.  His funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 28 at Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.  Burial will follow at West Ridge Cemetery, in Charlton.  Calling hours are 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 27, in the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Network Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA  01608.
