Paul Rizner

November 19, 1945 — February 21, 2015

Paul Rizner, of Ferry's Tavern Lane, died Saturday, February 21 at the age of 69. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Emily (Bloniarz) Rizner, 3 daughters: Dr. Amanda Rizner and her husband Todd Chrisman of Shapleigh, ME; Rachel Rizner of Burbank CA, Jaime Rizner of East Boston and a brother George Rizner of North Franklin, CT.His sister Mary Hattin died in 1994.

Paul was born in Southbridge, MA the son of George and Winifred (Moore) Rizner and lived in the area all his life. He graduated Stafford High School and earned his B.S. Degree from UCONN. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army with a deployment to Vietnam.

He worked for Joseph Gnazzo Co. and prior to that he was the manager for Connecticut Charcoal Co. in Union, CT.  He was currently a Selectman in the town of Union, was an extremely outgoing man who loved the outdoors and swimming and will be sorely missed by family and friends.

His funeral will be held Thursday February 26, 2015 at 10:30AM in the Belanger Funeral Home,51 Marcy Street, Southbridge. Calling hours are Wednesday February 25, from 3-5PM and 7-9PM in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring.
