SOUTHBRIDGE: Nathaniel Castillo Jr. 17, “Nate”, “Gordo” of Southbridge, born in Worcester, on January 6, 2005, sleeps with the Lord after a medical emergency that took place on October 21, 2022.

Nathaniel is survived by his parents Nathaniel Castillo Sr and Zuly Collazo, his brother Danny and sister Alyssia. His maternal grandmother he loving called Abuelita, his paternal grandmother he lovingly called Mami Nurys. Nathaniel will also be greatly missed by his Titi Vicky, Tio Miguel, Titi Mayra, Titi Yesi, Tio Macho, Titi Tata, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nathaniel was a senior honors student at Southbridge High School while also taking college courses at Quinsigamond Community College.

Nathaniel enjoyed many outdoor adventures, he was a passionate cook, liked gaming, playing football, learning how to play the piano and guitar. Nathaniel loved motorcycles, muscle trucks and his patriot hat “but not the patriots”.

Nathaniel’s favorite radio station was Rare of Breath Radio on Pandora. Nathaniel is known for his big heart. Loving and always protecting his siblings. Always letting his family know he loves them and making sure everyone around him has a smile.

Nathaniel will always be remembered for always giving to others, an encouraging word, a snack, a helping hand and even a couple dollars when needed. Nathaniel’s favorite colors are blue and black.

The family requests that those who attend his memorial services honor him by wearing his favorite colors.

The Funeral Service to say “see you later” to Nathaniel Castillo Jr will be held at the church he attended and was an active participant in with his family. The family would like to thank all those who have supported them during this time.

A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, October 28th, at 10AM, at the House of Destiny Church, 104 Everett St., Southbridge. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Everett St. Southbridge.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 27th, from 6-8PM, at the House of Destiny Church, 104 Everett Street, Southbridge, MA.
