WEST BROOKFIELD: Muriel R. (Myette) Bruinsma 80, of East Main St. died Saturday, March 4, in Southbridge Rehab & Healthcare Center. Her husband Donald W. Bruinsma died May 7, 2013. She leaves 4 sons Anthony Bruinsma of Southbridge, Gregory Bruinsma of West Brookfield, Jeffrey Bruinsma of Southbridge, Kenneth Bruinsma and his wife Cheryl of Kissimmee, FL. a daughter Donna CapoDiCasa of Ware, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother William and 3 sisters Evelyn Bourque, Ena LaRose, and Theresa LaFontaine. Muriel was born in Putnam, Ct. the daughter of William and Georgianna (Greene) Myette and lived in the area all her life.   She raised her family in Sturbridge where she was active as a Girl Scout leader and a Christian doctrine teacher for Saint Anne’s Church. She and her late husband also enjoyed motorcycles and vacations on Cape Cod. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and flea markets. A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday March 13, at Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam, MA. Please meet at the chapel.
