CHARLTON - Miriam Jane Post, 90 of Masonic Home Road, passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2026.

Miriam Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Peter Post; her son, Benjamin Post and his wife, Sharon, of Cheshire, Connecticut; her daughter, Deborah Post and her husband, Richard, of Southington, Connecticut; and her five cherished grandchildren: Alexandra, Tory, Tyler, Heath and Ryley.

She was predeceased by her son, Scott Post, and her sister, Carol Robinson.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Miriam was the daughter of the late Frank and Marcella (Haridan) Anderson. She graduated as salutatorian from Wethersfield High School, and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Bates College in 1958, where she consistently achieved Dean's List Honors.

Throughout her career, Miriam worked as a secretary for a minister at her church and later in the printing industry, providing services for accounting firms.

Miriam was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Woburn, MA. She was well known for her kindness, generosity and compassionate spirit. One of her greatest passions was supporting charitable organizations, and she was always eager to help causes that touched her heart. She and Peter shared a love of travel, exploring destinations around the world for both business and pleasure. Among their favorite adventures were the many Windstar cruises they enjoyed together.

Miriam Jane will be remembered as an intelligent, gracious and charitable woman whose warmth, generosity and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her,

Services for Miriam are private, and arrangements are entrusted to the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge.
