STURBRIDGE: Mary Jane "Judy" Arthur, 76, of Walker Pond Rd. died Sunday, January 20, 2013.
She leaves her husband of 53 years Robert W. Arthur and her cherished three sons; Thomas Arthur and his wife Kim of Sandwich, David Arthur of Worcester, James Arthur and his wife Tara of Worcester. She also leaves her two sisters Helen Claire Soares of Kingston; Jean Conlin of Boston and her grandchildren Ashton, Colton, Devon, Carson and several nephews and nieces, cousins, brother- in laws, friends, and loved ones past and present.
She was born in Milton the daughter of the late Richard and Marion (Kelty) Duggan and long time resident of Lexington, MA. then relocated to her treasured home in Sturbridge, MA a decade ago.
Mary did private personal care nursing for many years. She enjoyed traveling, went to Ireland a year ago stating it was one her favorites places. She loved to swim, ice skate and spending time with her family. She loved her vacations at the Cape (Fiddlers Green) and going to Sundae school. She was never one to shy away from swimming in the ocean and shared this passion with her entire family. She was known to always greet you with a smile and made you feel welcomed and warm inside.
Calling hours will be Thursday Jan 24, from 4:00pm-7:00pm in the funeral home.
Her funeral will be held at 9:00AM Friday, Jan. 25 from the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, with Mass following at 10:00AM in Blessed John Paul II parishes at St Mary’s Church, Hamilton St. Southbridge.
Burial will be at in Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery, Bourne, with a graveside service at 1:45PM.
