SOUTHBRIDGE: Maria Torres, 84, of high St. died Friday, Feb. 7 in her home after an illness.
Her husband Vincent Torres died in 1982. She leaves 2 daughters Miriam Torres-Miller of Southbridge, Linda Torres of Fitchburg, 4 sisters Besna Santiago of Southbridge, Anna Santiago of Puerto Rico, Julia Santiago of Puerto Rico, Romana Santiago of Puerto Rico, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchild.
Maria was born in Rio Piedras, PR, lived in New York, City before moving to Southbridge, several years ago.
She enjoyed cooking, trips to the casino and most of all she enjoyed her family.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 10:00AM in St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton St, Southbridge. Please go directly to church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Feb. 12, 5PM to 7PM in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
