CHARLTON; Marcia E. (Rappleyea) Westervelt, 94, of Masonic Home Rd. died Friday, April 8, in the Masonic Home in Charlton, MA. Her husband William Westervelt died in 1990. She leaves a daughter Marcia and her husband Donald Beal of Holland, MA, a son William and his wife Barbara Westervelt of E. Brunswick, NJ, three grandchildren William Westervelt, Michael Westervelt, Pamela Bohn, seven grandchildren, Dylan, Scott, Brianna, William, Savannah, Willow, John. Mrs. Westervelt was born in Mt. Olive, N.J., the daughter of George and Elizabeth(McManamy) Rappleyea and lived many years in New Jersey and Florida, before moving to Sturbridge and Charlton. She retired from Fireside Reality in New Jersey and previously worked as a Social Worker for Newark Eye and Ear Hospital and enjoyed oil painting in retirement. A calling hour will be held from SIX to SEVEN PM, Monday, April 11, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51Marcy St. Southbridge, MA followed by a funeral service at SEVEN PM. In New Jersey, a viewing will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, April 12 in the chapel of the Laurel Grove Cemetery, 161 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ, followed by a funeral service and burial at 2 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlton Public Library Charitable Trust Fund, 40 Main St., Charlton, MA 01507. A memorial guest book is available on line at belangerfuneralhome.com
