SOUTHBRIDGE: Marcel “Gunka” L. Vallee, 58, of Morris St. died, Monday July 15 after being stricken ill at home. He leaves his mother Germaine (Bouchard) Vallee of Southbridge; his sister Suzanne Jolin of Southbridge; 3 brothers Raymond Vallee of Worcester; Richard Vallee of Southbridge; John Vallee of Southborough; his nieces Lesley St. Peter (God daughter), Robyn Vallee, Kristen Aubin, Amy Morabito his nephews Casey Jolin, Richard Vallee Jr. Brent Vallee, great nieces Isabel St. Peter, Kaydence Aubin-Corriveau, Ricki Maynard, Hailey Morabito, Gina Morabito, great nephew, Damion St. Peter. He,was born in Southbridge the son of the late Raymond R.J. Vallee and lived Southbridge all his life. He, graduated from Southbridge High School in 1973 and served in the US NAVY on the USS Forrestal during the Vietnam War. He, worked several years in local restaurants as a line cook. He was a member of Notre Dame of Blessed John Paul II parishes. He was a member of VFW in Southbridge. His passions were spending time with his nieces, nephews and great nieces' and nephews, cooking, planting vegetable gardens, fishing with Lesley his God-daughter, going to drag races and car shows, Fords, coin collecting, and he loved cats. His funeral will be held at 10:00AM Friday, July 19, in Notre Dame Church, 446 Main St. Southbridge. Please go directly to church. Calling hours are 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, July 18, at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
