Luciana Joaquin

BOSTON – Luciana Joaquin, 62, of Boston, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, at Boston Medical Center.

Luciana is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Iliana Joaquin, and her fiancé, Benjamin Zamek, of Boston; her sons, Algenis Joaquin of Southampton and Roberto Joaquin of Littleton, New Hampshire; her sister, Nina DeJesus Joaquin; and her niece, Iliani DeJesus, of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends in the United States and Dominican Republic.

She was born on October 30, 1963, in Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic, the daughter of Feliz DeJesus and Mercedes Joaquin. She was raised in the Dominican Republic before moving to the United States in the 1980s.

Luciana was a social butterfly who loved spending time with her close friends and staying connected with the people she cared about. She loved her children deeply and held them close to her heart. She also loved to cook and found joy in sharing food with the people she loved.

Services for Luciana will be private, and entrusted to the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
