She also loved to travel and learn wherever she went. She took many trips with her life-long friend Polly Chamberlin and traveled to France and Russia with her brother and family. She was a lover of the arts, and music. She had a strong passion for painting, and created many beautiful art pieces of her own. She loved her home on Cedar Lake, where she resided for over 50 years.
