SOUTHBRIDGE: Lillian A. (Duplessis) Walker, 92, of Tillyer Ave. died Wednesday, November 28, at Harrington Hospital after being stricken ill.
Her husband Robert J. walker died April 9, 1992. She leaves her sister-in-law Marion Dunn.
She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Nazaire and Hermine (Garceau) Duplessis and lived here all her life.
She graduated from Mary E. Wells High School and Medical Department Special School for the US Army. She served as Sgt. in the US Air Force during Korean War.
Lillian worked at the American Optical for 20 years before retiring.
She was a member of Notre Dame Parish and served as a Eucharistic Minister since 1992. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Solidarity. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Bingo at Notre Dame.
Her funeral will be from the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00AM in Notre Dame Church of Blessed John Paul II parishes 446 Main St. Southbridge. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Charlton St. Southbridge
