Leon Rankin, Jr.

DOUGLAS: Leon H. Rankin, Jr., 77, of Douglas, passed away on September 10, 2022, at his home.

Leon leaves his wife of 52 years Elaine Rankin, his daughter Michelle Berard and his son-in-law, Robert Berard Jr. of Coventry, RI, his 3 brothers Daniel O’Connell of Douglas, Patrick O’Connell of Douglas, and Robert Laythe of Cleveland, Oklahoma, 2 grandchildren Michaela and Jacob, and 3 great grandchildren Hailey, Isabelle, and Leona.

Leon was born in Nasonville, RI, son to the late Leon Rankin Sr. and Geraldine Laythe.

Leon worked in Real-estate. He would buy and sell homes to fix them up and sell. He enjoyed fishing, boating and digging for quahogs. He liked to go for rides on his Harley motorcycle and collect Harley Davidson memorabilia.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday September 15 at 11AM in the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
