June Morey

HOLLAND – June (Hickox) Morey, 72, of Mashapaug Rd., died Monday, April 26 in Harrington Memorial Hospital after an illness.  She leaves her husband of 37 years, Richard Morey, and their dog, Ripley; two sisters, Dorothy Barr of Brimfield and Doris Malachowski of Northampton; several nieces and nephews including Kathy Hoenig and Steven Tremblay as well as many great nieces and great nephews.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Tremblay and Jane Perry.

She was born in Holland, the daughter of the late Burton and Mae (Martel) Hickox, and lived in the area her entire life.  She graduated from the Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge and worked at the American Optical.  She enjoyed sewing, walking, solving puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11am, Saturday, May 8, in the Holland Cemetery, Brimfield Rd., Holland.  The Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge, is directing the arrangements.  An online guestbook is available at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com
