STURBIDGE: Joyce Simpson, 81, died Sunday, Nov. 3rd at St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband Donald Simpson died in 2001.
She leaves her niece Elizabeth DiFederico and her husband Steven DiFederico of Sturbridge. A nephew, Michael Martel and his wife Patricia Martel of Northbridge. She also leaves 4 great nieces who were very special to her. Chelsea DiFederico, Emily DiFederico, Hannah Martel and Grace Martel.
Joyce was born in Ware the daughter of Lionel and Elizabeth (Mundell) Robillard and lived in the area many years.
Joyce retired from the American Optical in 1999 after 22 years of service.
She was a member of St. Anne’s Parish. She enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, gardening listening to polka music and playing cards.
Her funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, in St. Anne’s Church, Church St. Fiskdale section of Sturbridge, at 10:00AM. Calling hour will be held from 8:to 9AM in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge prior to the Mass.
