Joseph Orlandi

Joseph R. "Poppie" Orlandi, age 79, was called home to rest on November 6, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on September 28, 1935, the son of the late Joseph C. and Dorothy M. (Moynahan) Orlandi. He was a communicant of St Patrick Parish. He was a devoted NY Yankees fan. He was a US Navy Korean War Veteran. Joseph worked as a truck driver for many years before he retired. He originated a legacy that his beloved family will carry on "Poppies Concession". He leaves his loving wife Theresa (Asselin) Orlandi of Plainfield, MA; his son Gino J. Orlandi and his wife Michelle of Cummington, MA; his daughter Gina M. Orlandi of Plainfield, MA; his sister Shirley Denoncourt of Chicopee and his beloved grandchildren, Vincent, Victoria, Domenic and Kalis Orlandi and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, at 9:30 a.m. in the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St Patrick's Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
