SOUTHBRIDGE: Joseph A. Grigware, 77, of Charlton Street, passed away on October 23 at his home after falling ill.
He is survived by his son Steve Grigware and his wife Jeanette of Dudley, and his daughter Michelle Lawlor and her husband Michael of Walpole. Joseph also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren, Kaycie, Lucas and Aiden Grigware along with Evan, Isabella and Cooper Lawlor
Joseph was preceded in death by his brother John Grigware and his sister Colleen Grigware
Born in Grand Rapids, MI., Joseph was the son of the late Carl and Violet Grigware. He enjoyed spending six months of the year in Port Orange, Florida and cherished the summers spent at his son's home.
As an Army veteran, Joseph honorably served in Vietnam.
Throughout most of his life, Joseph worked as a truck driver. During his time in Florida, he also drove a local bus. Additionally, he had an extensive coin collection that brought him great joy. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren during the summer months.
As per his wishes, a private funeral service was held for Joseph.
Arrangements were directed by Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, located at 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.
