Joseph Eccleston

Joseph Eccleston passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021, at Saint Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his son Joseph Eccleston and his girlfriend Kassandra of Sturbridge, MA, 4 daughters, Bonnie Schirato and her husband Darrell of Apache Junction, AZ, Shawna Eccleston of Maynard, MA, Kylie Eccleston of Maynard, MA, Nicole Eccleston of Maynard, MA. 3 brothers, Lenny Eccleston of Whitinsville, MA, Jon Eccleston of Spencer, MA, Richard Eccleston of North Brookfield, MA and Lester Eccleston of Spencer, MA. Also, his 2 sisters Bertha Nozek of VT and Laura Messina of MA. His beloved grandchildren Dillon Schirato, Dakota Schirato, Ryan Anderson, Joshua McClung, Caden Eccleston, Joseph J. Eccleston, Dominick Schirato, Jaelyn Eccleston, and Great-Granddaughter Mia Schirato. Joseph was born in Worcester son of the late Leonard D. Eccleston and Mary Sue (Ramsey) Eccleston. Joseph was a veteran of the United States Airforce. He worked at Mikes Donuts in Leicester, and then later worked at Dippin’ Donuts in Southbridge. He had a passion for baking and cake decorating. He created the most beautiful wedding cakes. Joseph loved and adored his grandchildren and his great grandchild. His granddaughter Jaelyn was his princess. He would always say to his daughter Bonnie “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” Joseph had fun making others laugh and smile, and was known to be a big flirt.    Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge is directing arrangements.
