SOUTHBRIDGE: Jorge A. Alvarado, 41, formerly of Southbridge died in Manhattan, NY, after an illness. He leaves his mother Alcadia (Almodovar) Alvarado of Lake Worth, FL, a brother Adrian Alvarado of Southbridge, 2 sisters Antonia Lavadierre of Southbridge and Maritza Cordero of Lake Worth, FL, an uncle Louis Cormier of Southbridge and an aunt Maria Ramos of Southbridge and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father Adrian and a brother Julio E. Oquendo.
He was born in Ponce, PR the son of the late Adrian Alvarado and lived in Southbridge before moving to New York several years ago.
Jorge was a retail street vender in Manhattan and New York City for many years.
Calling hours are 3:00pm to 5:00pm in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. A service will take place at 5:00pm in the funeral home.
