�DUDLEY/ SOUTHBRIDGE: John V. "Jack" Lachapelle, 76, of Mason Rd. Ext., died Friday, May 1, at home after an illness.He leaves his wife of 30 years Paulette (Richard) Mach, a son Keith Lachapelle and his fiancee Carmen Oppenheimer of Southbridge, 3 daughters: Kris Tourtellotte and her companion Russell Willett of Oakham, Denise Lachapelle and her companion Richard Paradise of Sturbridge, Kathy Cody and her husband Richard of Wales, a step daughter Michelle Santora of Dudley, a brother Donald Lachapelle and his wife Pauline of Dudley, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 daughters, Kimberly Boutelle and Kyle Booth, a stepson Paul Mach, his sister Janice Lacroix, and brother Francis Lachapelle.
Jack was born in Southbridge, the son of the late William and Louise (Lapointe) Lachapelle and lived in the area all his life. He was an avid golfer and reader.
He graduated from Mary E. Wells High School, and retired from Schott Fiber Optics after 40 years of service. Jack served on the Southbridge Town Council, and was a trustee for the Jacob Edwards Library.
His graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Friday, May 8, in Notre Dame Cemetery, Woodstock Rd. Southbridge.
A funeral procession will form at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge at 10:00AM.
