SOUTHBRIDGE; Joan A. (Bisnette) Bashaw, 81, died July 6, 2021 at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster.
Her husband of 55 years Abraham passed away on July 16, 2012.
She leaves her children, Gerald Bashaw of Pittsfield; Sue Luukko of Spencer; Abraham Leo Bashaw Jr. of Southbridge; Joseph Bashaw of Burke, NY; Debbie Parish of Dannemora, NY; Joan Morin of Brookfield; a brother Doug Bisnette of Greenfield, NY, and step brother Wayne Bisonette of NY; two sisters Betty Smythe of North Bangor, NY, Carol Ann Bisnette, of Malone, NY; 26 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased a son Stephen Bashaw and a daughter Ellen Hebert and her sister Ruth Gleich,
Joan was born in Malone, NY. The daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruby (Charland) Bisnette and lived in the Southbridge area most of her life.
She worked 25 years for the American Optical Company as an inspector.
She enjoyed cooking, country western music and most of all she enjoyed her family.
Calling hours are 1 to 3pm, Wednesday, July 14, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge.
Her funeral service will be held at NOON, Thursday, July 15, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
