Jane Jenkins

CHARLTON:  Jane C. (Gagnon) Jenkins, 97, died on Wednesday, April 20 in the Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center after an illness.

Jane is survived by her son, David Jenkins of Charlton; three daughters:  Carolyn Loconto and her husband Peter of New Albany, OH, Barbara Caplette and her husband Edward of Auburdale, FL and Sandra Lepine of Palmer; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Jane was predeceased by husband of sixty-nine years, Paul Jenkins, in 2009.  She is also predeceased by her sisters:  Olive Nelson, Ruth Gagnon, Christine Hickey and Gladys Gauthier.

Jane was born on April 1, 1919 in Westhampton, MA, the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Paige Gagnon).

Jane graduated from UMASS Stockbridge Agricultural School with and Associate’s Degree in horticulture.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and volunteered at the American Cancer Society.  She especially enjoyed time spent with family.

A private funeral service will be held in the Charlton Federated Church, Main Street, Charlton, MA.
