Gail LaVergne

February 6, 1944 — November 24, 2013

STURBRIDGE, PUNTA GORDA, FL - Gail (Robbins) LaVergne, age 69, of Sturbridge Mass. and Punta Gorda Florida, passed away on November 24th after a brief illness. She leaves behind her husband Rick, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage in May, 3 children-John LaVergne and his wife Karen, Kim Black and her husband Guy, Holly Tremblay and her husband Scott. She also leaves her brothers Wayne Robbins and his wife Lynn, Bruce Robbins and his wife Pat, 4 grandchildren: Allen Evaschuk, Sarah Evaschuk, Alyssa Tremblay, and Shawna Tremblay, and several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents: Ferralyn (Roberts) Robbins in 2003 and Theryl Robbins in 2012. She was born in Bath, Maine and graduated from Morse High school in 1962. She worked at Galileo, Schott, and Karl Storz in fiberoptics. She was an active volunteer with and frequent donor to the Red Cross. She loved knitting, baking, gardening and traveling, especially to Alaska, but her main love was family and friends. She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, June 28, in the Sturbridge Federated Church, Rt 131 and Maple St. Stubridge.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter PO BOX 136 East Brookfield, MA  01515 or to the Sturbridge Federated Church, PO BOX 193, Sturbridge, MA 01566
