Born on July 15th, 1936, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the late Malcolm and Abby (Jeffrey) Young, Frederick spent his formative years in Auburn, MA. He completed his bachelor's degree at Clark University in Worcester.

Frederick's professional journey was diverse; he worked at Guaranty Bank in Worcester, Capitol Bank in Boston, Key Loc Modular Homes, and served as Comptroller at the Sheraton Sturbridge. His passion for the culinary arts led him to manage various restaurants, including a chef position at Cedar Street Restaurant, and he took great pride in running the Cohasse Country Club Restaurant in Southbridge and Dicken's Tavern, in Sturbridge. Additionally, Frederick owned and operated the Lodge on the Lake in Holland, where he created many cherished memories.

In his free time, Frederick still loved to cook outside of his work in restaurants. He also loved sports, partaking in golf as a young man, as well as watching football and baseball on television. Frederick adored traveling with his beloved wife, Carol, and every January the two would embark on a travel adventure, whether in the form of a cruise, or spending time on the Cape.

Services for Frederick will be held privately, as per the family's wishes, and are under the care of the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA.
