Evelyn Labarge

STURBRIDGE: Evelyn (Trombley) Labarge, 85, of Vista Lane, died Friday, Nov. 25 at St. Vincent’s Hospital after being stricken ill at home. She leaves her husband of George Labarge. She was predeceased by her second husband Charles Cole.

She leaves her son Brian R. Lavigne of Cocoa Beach, FL, her daughter Carole Ann Sykes of Dudley, a sister Alice Vancour of Framingham, 3 grandchildren Justin, Bethany, Kevin, one great grandson Patrick. A granddaughter Melinda died in 1984.

 She worked for Worcester County Hospital and retired from Burgess Elementary School in Sturbridge.

She was a member of St. Anne’s parish. She volunteered at Harrington Hospital, was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Southbridge. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Coast Guard Flotilla 1001 in Auburn. She enjoyed flowers, bird watching and vacationing in Maine.

 Her funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 2, at 10:00AM in St. Anne’s Church, Church St. Fiskdale section of Sturbridge. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.

A calling hour will be held at 8:30AM to 9:30AM in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, prior to the Mass.

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
