Evelyn Barrett

CHARLTON/PLAINFIELD, CT: Evelyn G. (Williams) Barrett, 93, of Plainfield, CT formerly of Charlton died Monday, September 28 after an illness.

Evelyn leaves behind her son Andrew Barrett of Charlton and her Granddaughter Ginny Miller of Woodstock of whom she lived with for few a years.  She also leaves behind a granddaughter, Sue Atkinson of Brookfield, a grandson Jesse Atkinson of Brookfield, Two Granddaughters Debbie Johnson and Barbara Koutny of CA and Grandson James Barrett of WI. She leaves behind two siblings: Roger Williams of ME and Barbara Caoutte of Charlton; fifteen Great Grandchildren and five great-great Grandchildren.  Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Alvah Barrett in 1987, her daughter Betty Atkinson 2011, and her siblings: Jerry Williams, Raymond Williams, Ervin Williams, Alice Mahan, Helen Ranks, and Gladys Divol.

Evelyn was born in Charlton, MA on January 9, 1922 the daughter of Del and Ella (McKissick) Williams .

Evelyn attended the Charlton schools and moved in the Lynwood, California where she lived for 28 years before returning to the area in 1979.  She was a member of the Charlton Sr. Citizens and AARP.  Evelyn loved to crochet.

Calling hours will be held Friday, October 2 from 5-7 P.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA with a funeral service to follow in the Funeral Home at 7 P.M.   A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 3 at 1 P.M. in North Cemetery, Maple Street, Sturbridge, MA.
