He leaves his wife Pauline (Gervasio) Bessette, his mother Margaret (McEachron) Wilhelm of Littlefield, AZ;  7 sons Cory Bessette of Mechanicsville, NY; Eugene M. Bessette of Troy, NY; Thomas G. Bessette of Troy, NY; Douglas Bessette of Mechanicsville, NK; Matthew Bessette of Cambridge, NY; Eugene E. Bessette JR of Cambridge, NY; Gary Bessette of Webster, 4 daughters Tiffany Bessette of Mechanicsville, NY; Stacy Bessette of Southbridge; Katie Bessette of Troy, NY; Jessica Bessette of Webster; brothers Gary A. Bessette of Bennington, VT; Bill Bessette of Cambridge, NY; sisters Rene Smith of Granville, NY; Nicole Reyes of Albany, NY; Margaret Squires of Williamston, VT; Cindy LaBrode of Bennington, VT; 6 grandchildren Devon J. Gonzalez, JoAida R. Gonzalez, Serenity L. Jackson, Nevaeh M. Bessette, Mathew A Bessette Jr, Jayekob Bessette, nephews and nieces.

He graduated from Hudson Valley Community College. He was a truck driver for Saratoga Transportation.

He enjoyed classic cars, and card games.

Calling hours are 8:30AM to 10:30AM, Friday, Feb. 17, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy ST. Southbridge. Burial will be at 2:00PM in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hill St. Hoosick Falls, NY.
