FISKDALE â?? Elinor I. Blackburn, 88, died Monday, August 18, at UMASS Medical Center after an illness. Her husband Jesse Blackburn died in 1987. She leaves a step daughter Roberta Thrasher and her husband Lawrence of Lawton, Oklahoma, a cousin Jessie LaFlamme of Charlton and many friends.
She was born in Charlton the daughter of the late Harold I. and Eula L. (Rich) Sinclair and lived in the area all her life.
She was secretary to Dr. Allen at the American Optical where she retired after many years of service. She enjoyed reading, trips to Cape Cod and Hampton Beach.
Her funeral will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, Aug.26th in the Holy Trinity Church, 446 Hamilton St. Southbridge. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are 5:00PM to 7:00PM Monday, Aug. 25th in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church 446 Hamilton St, Southbridge, Ma. 01550
