CHARLTON - Eleanor L. (Wright) Beaudry, also known as 'Ellie', 91, of Muggett Hill Road, Charlton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, January 12, 2025.
Ellie leaves behind her son, David Mix and his wife Sue of Charlton; and 2 daughters, Sally Sepuka and her husband Fran of Charlton and her Daughter Kay, and husband Al also of Charlton.
She cherished her role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Eric Mix, wife Jennie, Deven and Owen of Pomfret, Ct. Jared Sepuka of Spener. Jacob Hosegood, wife Renee, Naomi, Arline and Jonah of Oxford. Heith Sepuka, wife Mandy, Jennessa and Joshua of Southbridge, MA. Jessica Hosegood, Brianna of Charlton. Meaghan Riel, husband Nathan, Nolan, Parker, Sadie of Sutton, MA Seth Mix, wife Morgan, Abigail and Bridgett of Prentiss Township, Maine.
Ellie was predeceased by her two brothers Neil and Eugene Wright.
Born in Ludlow, MA, she was the daughter of Florent A. and H. Louise (Chase) Wright and spent most of her life in the local area. She graduated from Charlton High School in 1952 and pursued her studies in Theology at Gordon University and Union College.
A woman of deep faith, Ellie was an active member of Charlton Federated Church sharing her beautiful voice in the choir and also serving as Church secretary.
Professionally, Ellie worked for Prudential Insurance Company, was a dedicated office manager for Southbridge Trucking Company, a division of Mayflower, a dispatcher for Plante Heating and also at the Overlook, formerly the Masonic Home in Charlton. Moving to California she served as Executive Secretary for the head recruiter of the LA branch of the CIA before returning home. She retired at the age of 83 working for the Board of Health in Charlton.
Ellie had a passion for reading, often immersing herself in the Bible, and Popular Mechanics magazine. She enjoyed puzzles and coaching her girls in softball. She was known for her strength and resourcefulness, never hesitant to take on projects whether it involved repairing a car or maintenance on her home. Her legacy of love, faith and resilience will be cherished by all who knew her.
A funeral service for Ellie will be held on Friday, January 16th at 10:00AM in the Charlton Federated Church; 64 Main St. Charlton. Burial will follow at Westridge Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5-7PM on Thursday, Jan. 15th in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
