FISKDALE: Eleanor ‘Bev’ B. Williams, 89, born in Boston, passed away on June 8th, 2025, at Webster Manor. She is survived by her four children: Denise Matolcsy-Cowden of Webster, MA; Cathleen Burgess of Sarasota, FL; James Williams of Cape Coral, FL; and Pamela Lind of Brimfield, MA. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Paul Cowden and his wife Michelle of North Grosvenordale, CT; John Cowden and his wife Mio of Uxbridge, MA; Jared Cowden and his wife Allison of Sturbridge, MA; Kathi Poswiatowski and her husband John of Wales, MA; Melinda Riggs and her husband Scott of Bellingham, MA; Melissa Lind and her fiancé Trevor West of Stephentown, NY; and Amanda LaCroix of Brookfield, MA; as well as ten great-grandchildren: Will Cowden and his wife Sarah of Provo, UT; Melodi Cowden of Tokyo, Japan; Jonah, Merrick, and Landon Cowden of Sturbridge, MA; Kelton and Ashlinn Poswiatowski of Wales, MA; Sophia and Mila Riggs of Bellingham, MA; and Abigail West of Stephentown, NY.
She is also survived by her sisters, Gale (Lamb) Morency and family of Hudson, NH; Cheryl (Lamb) Wolfson and family of Lyndeborough, NH; her brother William Lamb and family of Lowell, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Bev was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Richard T. Williams, on August 16th, 2018; as well as her mother, Maude (Johnson-Lamb) Colangelo; her father, Kenneth H. Lamb; her step-parents, Michael F. Colangelo and Ruth Lamb; her brothers Kenneth G. Lamb, Michael Colangelo Jr., Charles Hastings, and Thomas Hasting; and her sisters Susan (Hastings) Dupras, Mildred (Colangelo) Young, and Noreen (Colangelo) Ward.
Bev attended Burlington High School and the David Fanning School of Nursing in Worcester, where she received her LPN. She worked at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester until moving to Holland in 1972. She then worked at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA, for 23 years until her retirement. Bev was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the North Brookfield branch. She and her husband, Richard, served at the Boston Temple for seven years as Ordinance Workers and were sealed in the Boston Temple for Time and All Eternity. They also managed the Bishop’s Storehouse in Worcester for two years in their effort to serve the Lord.
Bev enjoyed life and treasured time spent with friends and family; she will be deeply missed by all.
Calling Hours for Beverley, will be held on Saturday, June 14th, will begin at 9:30am at the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, located at 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, with a service following. Burial will be at Holland Cemetery at 29 Brimfield Rd, Holland, Ma 01521.
