Doris Barrett

STURBRIDGE: Doris Evelyn Barrett, 93 ,died Sunday, June 19th at Harrington Memorial Hospital. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Edith Puckett and son-in-law Sam Puckett with whom she lived in Sturbridge. She also leaves her loving son Lewis Tipper and his wife June of Thompsonville, MI and her son-in-law Eugene Russell, husband of deceased daughter Phyllis, also of Michigan. Doris had 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Doris was born in Sturbridge in 1912, daughter of Amanda and Wilse Willie Hubbell. In 1933, Doris married Lewis Tipper , moved to Michigan ,and raised 3 children. Lewis died in 1953. She married Everett Barrett in 1962 and helped him to run a dairy farm in Sturbridge for 31 wonderful years until his death in 1993. Doris's family and friends loved her dearly and will miss her feisty personality very much. A graveside service will be held at TEN AM, Saturday June 25 in North Cemetery Maple Street, Sturbridge.
