Donald Bopp

Donald K. Bopp, 60, of Lakeshore Lane, Holland, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 after a brave battle with cancer.   Born on April 6, 1954, he was the son of the late Karl G. and Janet (Hagen) Bopp.  He was a 1972 graduate of Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge.  Donnie was a self-employed carpenter for many years.  He was also a marine mechanic.  He was a member of the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club, which his father helped to found almost 90 years ago, and he was a constable in Holland for many years.  Donnie will be sadly missed by his sister, Nancy Beeman and her husband Donald, of Danielson, CT; nieces Nita Vitaliano and her husband Paul, and Anna Griggs; great nephews Luke and Austin;  his ex-wife, Trish Ochs of Holland; step-daughter Jennifer Willard; and his step-grandchildren, Jakob, Nathan, Callie, and Phoebe Boiteau.   The family would like to extend a sincere and warm thank you to all of Donnie's friends, especially Steve, Jim, Scotty, Kathy, Tim, and Bobby, who offered assistance and caring during his battle with cancer.  Also, the family would like to express sincere gratitude to the Central MA Hospice, whose compassion and attention helped to make Donnie as comfortable as possible in his last moments.  A memorial service to celebrate Donnie's life will be held this summer, at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations may be made in Donnie's name to the Central MA Hospice, 191 Packachoag St., Auburn, MA  01501.
