June 29, 1951 — April 1, 2021

Woodstock, CT: Dennis Timothy Peck, 69, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on April 1, 2021 after a period of declining health. Dennis was born in Southbridge on June 29, 1951 to the late Romeo and Rita (Lamothe) Peck. He attended Bartlett High School where he excelled in football, and went on to play in the semi-pro league with the Colonials. He earned his Airframe and Power Plant Maintenance Certification from East Coast Aero Tech, eventually earned his pilot's license and co-owned a float plane with Pierre Servant. Dennis was a talented machinist and founded Wilden Machine Company, which was based at American Optical Corporation. He worked as an independent contractor for various companies as a Maintenance Mechanic/Supervisor including American Optical, Table Talk Pies, and Freihofer's/Nissen Bakery, maintaining and building production equipment and machinery. Dennis later joined Tri-Community Rental as Vice-President/Co-owner, responsible for equipment rental and maintenance. He recently worked at Tractor Supply for several years, and was close to completing bus driver training before becoming ill. Dennis enjoyed flying, fishing, hunting, golfing, cooking, spending time in his vegetable and Dahlia gardens, and vacationing in Maine. He also enjoyed hosting International students who were attending Woodstock Academy, especially Tianan Lin, who lived with them for 4 years until her graduation, and whom he loved like a daughter. They had the same sense of humor and loved cooking and talking about politics and American culture. He was passionate about dog rescue and adopted a total of 6 dogs, leaving behind his buddy Max. Dennis was the beloved husband of Linda Goodbrand, his wife of 28 years. In addition to Linda, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Jean Peck of Charlton, niece Jodi and Jeff Osowski of Vermont, nephews Derek Peck of Webster, Jason Peck of Dudley, and great nieces and nephew Meagan, Jocelyn, Willow, and Finn. He was predeceased by his brother and best friend Donald. Dennis was very close to his in-laws, including his mother-in-law Wilma and (the late) John Goodbrand of Hamburg, NY, sisters-in-law Lynette and Don Sawers of St. Petersburg, FL, Rebecca Creeley of Hamburg, NY, nieces and nephews Jason Rosier, Jessica and Scott Kohn, Jamey and Aaron Glynn, Sarah Ferguson, and 12 great nieces and nephews. Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and will be remembered for his sense of humor, smile, and kindness.    There will be a Celebration of Life this Summer, the information will be posted at a later date.   Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge is directing arrangements.   An online guestbook is available at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com
