Darlene Ann Proper

Darlene A. (Parent) Proper, 65, of Camp Rd. Fiskdale, died September 30, in Beth Israel Hospital, after a brief illness.  She leaves her husband of 39 years Bruce Proper; a son William B. Proper and his wife Norah of Fiskdale; 2 daughters: Kim Lee Flemings of St. Albins, VT and Darlene H. Proper of South Carolina; 4 brothers: Leo Parent, Jr. and his wife Madeline of Flagstaff, AZ, Paul Parent and his wife Louise of Southbridge, Daniel Parent and his wife Mary Beth of Sturbridge and Kevin Parent of Sturbridge; 6 grandchildren: Leah, Collette, Elizabeth, Kimmy, Crystal and Mary Alice; and one great grandson Luke.

She was born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Leo and Leonie (Hamel) Parent and lived in the Sturbridge area most of her life.  She was a member of St. Ann's Parish.  Darlene was still currently working for Hyde Tools in Southbridge for the past 35 years. She was a member of several bowling leagues and in Auburn, including Sunday Night Mixed League and Fun Lovers League. Her family enjoyed her famous Mac and Cheese. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

Calling hours for Darlene will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM , in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Graveside service at St. Anne's Cemetery will be private.
