CHARLTON - Dale F. Favreau passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at The Overlook in Charlton, MA. 

Dale cherished his loving wife of 44 years, Lucette Favreau (Dunlop). He leaves his children: Michelle A. Anctil and her husband, Scott M. Anctil, of Charlton; his daughter, Valerie J. Allard, of East Brookfield; and his son, Christopher D. Favreau, and his wife, Kim Favreau, of Southbridge, MA. Dale had six grandchildren: Scott Anctil Jr., Brett Anctil, Drew Allard, Jacob Allard, Rory Allard, and Ella Favreau, and was blessed with great-grandchildren: Grant Anctil, Calvin Allard, Ariella Allard, and Aven Allard. 

Dale had two loving brothers, Ronald Favreau and Lyle Favreau, who predeceased him. 

Dale was born in Southbridge, the son of the late George Favreau and Mary Stafford Favreau. He was a graduate of Charlton High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Central New England College.

Dale served in the United States Air Force for four years and was recently awarded a quilt of valor for his service. He was employed by Pratt and Whitney as a Senior Project Engineer for 45 years, retiring in 1999. Dale was a lifetime member of the Sturbridge Lions Club, where he served in several positions: President, as well as the Chairman of the Lions River race. 

Dale had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He passed his love for the sport to his children and grandchildren, and shared his talents in many capacities as an active member of the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing and boating both at the Cape and at their second home in Nova Scotia. 

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Sturbridge Federated Church on Thursday, May 21, at 10:00 am. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
