CHARLTON – Clifford R. Wilson Sr., 86, of Freeman Road, peacefully passed away at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus on January 19, 2026.
Clifford is survived by his loving daughter, Michelle Wilson, of Vernon, CT, and his cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Meadow, Morgan, Tayler, and Corey. He will be remembered by his cousins and many close friends made over the years, particularly at the Valley Springs Sportsman’s Club and within the community of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Priscilla (Lavigne) Wilson, who passed away on February 17, 2017, and by his son, Clifford Wilson Jr., who passed on January 15, 2015.
Born on July 27, 1939, to the late Albert and Leona (Burlingame) Wilson in Charlton, Massachusetts, Clifford dedicated nearly two decades of his career to Charlton Mills after spending nine years at Industrial Transfer & Storage, Inc. before his retirement.
In his free time, Clifford enjoyed the nature and the outdoors, specifically trap-shooting and deer hunting, which is something he did every year. He also dabbled in deep sea fishing now and again. He also loved country music. As an avid member of the Valley Springs Sportsman’s Club, Clifford made many friends and close connections with other outdoorsman who partook in the same hobbies he did.
Known for his intelligence and strong work ethic, Clifford was adept with his hands, even contributing to the construction of the home where his children were raised. His remarkable dedication was exemplified in his commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous for 43 years, a journey he took immense pride in.
Cliff’s funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2nd, at 12 PM at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge. Calling hours will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM prior to the service.
