IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christine Ellen
Murphy
February 2, 1983 – January 24, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Ellen Murphy, affectionately known to her loved ones as "Chrissy." Born on February 2, 1983, in Cannon, New Mexico, Chrissy moved through life with a spirit that was nothing short of vibrant. She departed unexpectedly but peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Southbridge, Massachusetts. At only 42 years old, Christine left behind a beautiful tapestry of memories woven through love, laughter, and family.
Christine’s childhood was spent in Watertown, Massachusetts with her four younger sisters who she loved, guided, and protected. She spent time with her many friends, the memories particularly filled with cherished moments alongside her beloved cousin, Jessica. The two could often be found spinning batons, playing dolls, or hiding from hurricanes (Hurricane Bob), showcasing the carefree spirit so indicative of her youth. Personal connections were deeply meaningful to Christine; the warmth of family gathered around her always, especially during holidays was something that never ceased to light up her heart. Her children, Zachary, Corey, Aiden, and Emma, brought her immense pride and joy, and nothing defined her more than her devotion to them.
An graduate of Bay Path Regional Vocational High School, Christine earned her cosmetology certificate in 2002. It was not merely a career for her but a true passion that allowed her creativity to flourish. She was passionate for hairstyling, reveling in making others feel beautiful, especially her sisters, who often benefitted from her talent. Indeed, one of Christine's proudest accomplishments was not only her love for cosmetology but over all else, the creation of her four beautiful children, who continue to carry her legacy.
Christine’s personality was a blend of boldness and warmth. She had an innate ability to make those around her feel at home, always placing others before herself. The sound of her laughter was contagious, resonating, creating lifelong memories, filling rooms with joy and comfort. Music was another cherished aspect of her life; Christine was a devoted fan of rock music, especially Metallica, and had fond memories of attending local shows during her teenage years.
Alongside her passion for music, she pursued hobbies that included painting, drawing, and creating. Spending time outdoors brought her great joy, whether it was on Cape Cod, fishing and metal detecting, or soaking in the tranquility while at Westville. These joys complemented her role as a mother and sister, building strong relationships with her sisters—Stephanie, Jacquie, her late sister Renee, and Demerice—and many nieces and nephews.
Christine is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Patricia Sandberg, and her beautiful sister, Renee Dexter, both of whom she cherished deeply. The love she carried for her family, particularly her children and sisters, was immense, forming an indelible mark on their lives. She will be forever remembered by her fiancé, Randy Worth, who was fortunate to share his life with her.
May Christine Ellen Murphy rest in peace, her bright spirit and loving heart continuing to shine through the memories she created with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will be lovingly honored and cherished by her family and friends, who will carry her memory forward.
Services for Christine will be held at Belanger Funeral Home on Friday, February 13th, 2026, from 4pm to 6pm. Feel free to bring a rose to place as Chrissy loved roses.
