Andrew Aroian

December 3, 1948 — November 30, 2021

Andrew “Mick” Aroian, 72, passed away after a long illness on November 30, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family.  He leaves his loving wife of 46 years, Leslie (Thorpe) Aroian, his son, David Reimer of Bad Axe MI; his daughter, Elizabeth Aroian Perez and her husband Alex of Medway, his granddaughter Raven Reimer of Columbus, IN that they raised since she was a child; his brother Robert Aroian and his wife, Gayle of Barre and their children; granddaughter Catalina Perez, niece Kathryn Aroian, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John S. “Jack” Aroian.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Wilk) Aroian, and lived in the area for many years. Whether you knew him was Mick, Mike or Andy, you knew a man who was extraordinarily gentle, patient and kind, even as a child. He held strong principles and had a steadfast belief in good. After earning his bachelor's degree from Worcester State College, he worked at several jobs, until he found the right fit for his talents, working with disabled adults at Glavin Center for 25 years, where he once was awarded Employee of the Year. Andrew was an Army veteran who served 2 tours in the Vietnam war. He received the Vietnam service medal with seven bronze service stars, and an Army Commendation medal for his service.  Andrew was a member of the American Legion in Spencer. He was a big baseball enthusiast, especially for his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday December 5th from 2-4PM in the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
